Sleep Couture Runway

This runway was SO much fun! I usually like the clothes I get to wear but these pajamas were really gorgeous! They're so comfortable too. I love love love them.
I bought a pair as soon as I could haha. My favourite pieces are the long sleeved crop top hoodie and the teddy bear pants.Anyway, I arrived at hair and make-up and there was so much good food there...mmm. Hair and make-up was done by the cutest couple Cat and Kevin who own their own salon called Karsa hair salon. (www.karsahairsalon.com)
They are both very talented and we all had beautiful eye make-up with feathers attached to the lashes. Our hair took teasing to a whole new level...mine looked like a pile of fairyfloss on top my head. Was crazy! Not fun to try and untangle in the shower though...We did a full run through then had to hide at the back because the guests started to arrive. It was a slumber party themed night so there were lots of cool decorations and a giant bunny rabbit you could get photos with. We jumped into a photo with the bunny which was fun!We got an extra layer of hair spray, a bit more shimmer and were all covered in some shiny Vaseline then we were ready to go!
The show was a great success, the crowd genuinely seemed to love the clothes. I've never had so many people come up and ask me about the brand than with Pajama Couture, I really think it'll be a hit! This was actually the pre-launch runway so a little sneak preview. Here are some photos or check out http://sleepcouture.com for more!

IHS Hair Show

The IHS Hair Show was a really fun day! The hair stylists had just 10 minutes to create a style which the models then sold on the runway.Crimping must be on its way back because every second girl (including me) had their hair pre-crimped for the show by their stylists! I went in looking like a bit of an 80s lion but came out with a crazy up do. We were given an outfit to wear that complimented our hairstyle so I wore this strange but cool bodysuit with attached stockings. The make-up was just bronze shimmer all over my eyes and cheeks and neck.
After the runway, photographer Jo O'Brien took us outside for a quick photoshoot.

Miss Green's Wardrobe Runway

Miss Green's Wardrobe held a great event where people could switch their clothes for new pieces, promoting 'eco' fashion and buying quality not quantity.
As part of the night there was a fashion parade, which is what I was in.
All the models wore clothes by Farage, accessories by Joolz by Airdrie, and shoes by Melissa for Vivienne Westwood.
My favourite thing was the shoes! They were all scented so smelled kind of like grape bubblegum! I loved them and wanted to take them home hehe.
The look was cool for this runway too, hair all swept to one side and bright red lips.It was definitely a fun night...now I just need to get some of those grapey shoes...

Salon Parade

Here was another runway I did for Salon wear. Not much to report on this parade though we did have to wear funny shoes for some of the outfits. They were flat and looked kind of like crocs! Haha I have actually never done a runway without heels before so it was certainly a change. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of these...er..delightful shoes...haha.

Whitehouse Runway

Wow! These clothes by Whitehouse were absolutely luxurious and I was so happy I got to wear them. All the outfits were unique but had a running theme of creams, navy, sequins and beautiful fabric. We did this show twice. One on Saturday and again on Sunday. Both were a lot of fun though on Sunday we had a little more time so we got more detailed hair and make-up done. On Saturday we had tight buns that looked kind of like a big bobble on the top of our heads and smokey eyes but the next day we had hair teased to the side and eyes that were really black and went out past our eyebrows and bright red lips. It looked awesome although again I caught the train home and got lots of strange looks.Anyway, the show had lots of people involved so we had to get tags that said model on it to get us into the event. Then we went straight into hair and make-up then to the dressers to get our outfits. We were supposed to have specific outfits but as usual it was so completely hectic backstage with semi naked people running around, clouds of hairspray to battle through, clothes flying everywhere, people swarming around the models trying to do up shows and pin up broken zips etc so we just walked out in whatever was there. This was good though because it meant that we got to wear different outfits for each day and with these beautiful clothes the more I get to try on the better! The actual runway was really cool too. The crowd was massive, especially on Sunday and the catwalk was all white and lit up. There were also two screens showing the parade so that when I was walking back from the end of the catwalk I could see myself from behind. So weird! Though I was a bit scared because some of the dresses were SO long that I felt like I was going to step on it and rip it or trip or pull it off and be standing there in my underwear! One dress I had to wear was pretty much a circus tent...but at least it was a beautiful silky circus tent. Luckily none of that happened and I actually had fun in the long dresses because I could play with them and swish them around and get some cool movement shots.Anyway see for yourself with the photos. I have millions!

Josua Andreas Runway

This was an awesome night! The Urban Project winter range by Josua Andreas was showcased on the runway at Eve Nightclub so after the show the party definitely continued.
The night was hosted by the winner of Australian "Make me a Supermodel" so when Rhys was hanging out with us backstage some of the girls were a bit smitten haha...especially when he started changing in front of us.
The clothes were really cool, I wanted to take that leather jacket I wore home with me hehe! But of course we also had to wear something weird...otherwise it's not high fashion enough right? So we had jet black lips and all wore science type goggles like you'd wear in a lab! I secretly liked the goggles though...they reminded me of biology class haha.

Side Show at Spiegeltent

This runway was really cool because it was at the famous Spiegeltent. The venue had the perfect vibe for the intimate Side Show Design runway.
Getting there was the first drama though as it was pouring rain and so I must have looked hilarious running to the venue with a big wool jumper over my head, slipping because the ground was so wet. Eventually I arrived, if not a little bedraggled, for hair and make-up. Because I've done some work for Side Show before I knew some of the other regular models so it was good to catch up with them again.
Before our runway was a circus "sideshow" act. I didn't get to see it as I was backstage but me and another model were hanging around about to get changed and this guy came out with giant fake teeth, scary makeup and bubble mix which gave us a bit of a fright! It was cool though I would have loved to see his act haha.
We walked to some old school music which was fun and different but also a challenge because it's difficult to walk really slow with a hint of burlesque and still make it look like a fashion runway.
There was day wear and also lingerie paraded. Lingerie was extra fun because we got to do a bit of a dance routine and I love dancing!
I haven't managed to get a hold of the professional shots yet but I do have one kind of blurry one taken from the crowd.

Toff Midnight Runway

Yay! I love runway! I did two parades for different designers on the same night in a big joint parade.
My hair was teased like it had never been teased before...but it was a fun night!
Some of the clothes I wore were pretty cool.
The first parade was pretty simple, just the usual walk and turn and loop but the second one had choreography I needed to remember. I'm a dancer so it wasn't too hard, but I did make an effort to steer clear of the many bottles of Champagne behind the scenes!
When I got onto the runway, the red sparkly dress, as pretty as it was, kept almost falling off! I couldn't wear a bra under it so luckily I managed to keep it up or more than the cameras would have been flashing that night...haha.
