Hedge Maze!

Here are some photos for another scene of the 'Your Kiss' music video. We went to Hedgend Maze and filmed me singing and running around haha.
When we were done filming we actually got lost for ages and couldn't find our way out of the maze! I also hid and jumped out from behind a hedge when Kenny was filming and gave him a fright haha. But in the end hopefully we got some cool shots!
If you want to get lost in the same maze go and visit www.hedgend.com.au

Lips Couch!

Kenny from Vhp Records and I have finished a new song called 'Your Kiss' and we shot the first scene of the music video the other day!
I think this will be a really cool scene because we were able to shoot on a Salvador Dali style couch in the shape of big red lips!
Here are a couple of screen grabs from the raw footage. Thanks to Matt Blatt Showroom for letting us use the couch.

Sneak Preview of We're OK

I have another sneak preview for you!
For the video 'We're Ok' we shot a clip with a story line so we have a movie style intro.
The clip features the very talented actor Michael Clarke-Tokely and a beautiful pink Cadillac kindly lent to us by the owner.
We went to a park and shot the whole thing in a day!
I have the intro to the clip for you to check out!

Boom Music Video

BOOM! This one is my favourite song we've done so far and we planned a crazy music video for it!
We auditioned back up dancers, got bags and bags of glitter, made a (slightly wobbly) door frame, found a great location, organised a team of hair and make-up artists to do some crazy make-up looks, got young designers on board to style the clip, choreographed and rehearsed, bought a truck load of snacks and of course ordered a ridiculous blonde wig...
Nothing could go wrong with so much planning right...think again.

One of the dancers Chloe was in hospital the night before and only got out at 5am so we didn't know if she was coming until the last minute. Another dancer Mikhaela had been vomiting all day. The venue double booked us. All of the make-up artists canceled because we had to change the time to the night shift and so had to be rebooked. In a frantic rebooking frenzy we had too many make-up artists and had to get numbers down again. The venue double booked us again. I crashed my car and had to organise a lift to the venue...the list goes on!

Luckily everything fell into place, the dancers all rocked up and did a great job. The make-up artists were amazing. The venue worked it out so we could still shoot on the organised Sunday and everything went great. I actually had a dream the nigth before that only one make-up artist came and she was blind so at least that didn't happen! Haha.

We shot all of the scenes for the video at the same venue so it was a long shoot! I got there at 4pm and got home at 4am! It didn't feel like a long time though because I was having so much fun. We had stocked up on energy drinks, lollies and ordered pizza to the venue. The crew was great and so everyone had fun.

The first scene we shot was the blonde super star scene! For this one I had a blonde wig which was so fun to wear! Though I kept getting the hair stuck to my lip gloss and the whole wig actually fell off during a take because I flicked my head back. Haha!
The dress I wore was designed by Andrea Vuong and was absolutely GORGEOUS! I was so lucky to get to wear it.The next scene was the dancing scene. The leggings were from the label 'Die Pretty'. It was a bit tricky because all our tops kepy slipping down and no amount of Hollywood tape would keep them up. We had to synchronise our top adjusting so that it wouldn't ruin every take haha. In this scene we also threw around some glitter. It went in out faces, got in our mouths etc. but it was pretty funny.Next I did the door frame scene. I had these clip in blonde bits for my hair and two toned pink and purple lips which were supposed to represent being in a transition phase ready to break out. The blonde bits kept falling out though. The door frame was pretty wobbly too but I tried not to hold onto it too much or it might have fallen on my head. The bodysuit I wore was so cute! It was also designed by 'Die Pretty'.
Then was the rock star scene. The dancers got eye make-up masks which were fun and I had glittery lips. We got to play around a bit more in this scene. In one take the girls had sparklers which I had brought along for a cake I made for one of the make-up artists. (It was her birthday the next day and we went way past midnight!)
We added another scene in at the last minute which was me lying in the glitter that was all over the floor from the other scenes. It looked pretty cool but glitter is really hard to get off! So I was sparkling for a while after the shoot haha.

Well I hope the video will be awesome! We worked hard and had fun making it so hope you'll like it!

A massive thank-you to Kenny, the designers, make-up artists, dancers, Callum the lighting guy who we bossed around, the pizza guy and everyone else involved!

'It's Ok' music video shoot

Well I was pumped for this shoot because I got to drive in a pink 1957 Cadillac! AH!
The car came from a really nice guy called Matt who usually hires it out for weddings as an alternative to a limo.
Hair and make-up was by Lysha Marie and I got to have big lashes, liquid eyeliner flicks and a beehive! We wanted a 50's/60's vibe for it, so it reminded me a bit of 'I dream of Jeannie' (yes I watched 3 seasons of that show in a couple of weeks once...)Anyway the actual shoot was fun, we seem to get really lucky with weather because it was the only sunny day in the week! Exactly what happened with 'Electric.'
Was working with an actor which was good because we had to do a few scenes where we were fighting and making up and stuff. It was pretty funny because we didn't have anything to fight about so we were talking about dry chicken and the colour of money and ridiculous things like that. I hope no one can lip read that if it gets put in the clip haha!

Electric Video Preview Screening

On Saturday was the preview screening of the Electric music video! Those who were in the video, family, friends and a few industry people were invited to have a sneak peek and listen to some live music. There were a few technical dramas with the projector not working until the last minute but everything came together in the end.
The last couple of weeks has been a mad rush to write, record and finish all the songs I need to do before I head overseas so the launch seemed to come up VERY fast. We actually finished everything the morning of the launch!
Fahrenheit 45 were the support act before my set and they were great. After them I sang a couple of songs and then finally the video was played.
I will put it up here when it's released which should be soon!

Electric Music Video - Dancing and Close Ups

Well this is the last scene of the Electric music video! We were thinking of putting in another scene but the producer is going to see how the footage looks at the moment before shooting. It might be enough cause we have some great shots.
We were shooting in a laneway against the bright graffiti walls so had to lug everything out on location. We had a boom box, ipods, speakers, lights, cameras, tripods, monopods, reflectors, clothes, make-up, shoes, snacks...but we were missing one thing...the song.
I was supposed to burn the new copy onto a C.D in the morning but I burnt it onto a DVD which didn't play in CD players. I put it onto an ipod but it promptly died as soon as I got into the city. Unfortunately the backup CD wasn't in the player either...We had to scrounge around in internet cafes to try and find the song in our emails (which thankfully I had in mine) and then burned it. Lucky! Otherwise I would be very out of sync in that section of the clip...haha.
Other dramas were cancelled trains and no make-up artists because it was last minute and on a weekday but I had heaps of fun on this shoot anyway! We started with some close ups and then did some dancing scenes. During filming it was so funny because heaps of people came up to us asking what was happening. People even asked for photos with me and my autograph which was hilarious. Maybe they wanted to keep it just incase they can sell it on ebay one day? haha. You can see a few photos here and as always there'll be behind the scenes at www.projectsundaytv.com later on.

Electric Music Video - The Sleepover Scene

Part two of the music video for 'Electric' was filmed the week after. This scene was a girly sleepover and was so much fun (and much less cold).

We went into hair and make-up and all got big eyelashes and cute pigtails for the scene. Then we put on our pajamas and were ready to go!

The room set was a bedroom with lots of pillows and girly decorations (including our favourite plate of cookies which slowly dwindled during the scene. Oops.)
We attempted to practice the routine we had to learn then got to filming! It was fun jumping around on the bed and singing to the camera, plus the other girls (Sarcha and Petra) were great to work with. We did a few takes from different angles and then a few takes to the sped up version of the song (which will be sped down again for slow motion shots).

Then it was time for my favourite part... the pillow fight! The pillows were stuffed with feathers and went everywhere! We did get some in our mouths and eyes and the cookies turned a bit fluffy but I think it looked awesome and was heaps of fun!

There is also behind the scenes footage for this shoot, so again keep an eye on www.projectsundaytv.com to see it when it comes out.

Electric Music Video - The Beach Scene

I was so excited to film my first music video for the song 'Electric' on Wednesday! Heaps of organisation was involved and we were running around last minute trying finish off staff lists, permits and of course a get whole lot of Champagne...

The first drama was the weather. Filming on the beach is risky, especially when you only have a permit and all the staff for the one day. The day after our scheduled filming was going to be sunny and things were heating up to 30 degrees by the end of the week... Wednesday, however...was forecast to rain. Well we were very lucky that it was not wet but it was still freezing and there was a serious wind chill factor!!

We arrived at the prep venue and myself and all the models/dancers/extras went into hair, make-up and styling. The designer of Stiletto and Martini came down to dress up the extras and rows of make-up artists were waiting to transform us. It was a girls favourite playground (though the boys had to get their make-up done too..hehe).

Soon it was time to get down to the beach, so there was a last minute rush of curlers, bronzing, glittering and lip gloss then we headed out into the freezing wind to shoot.
We happily took over a cafe near the location to keep warm and get a quick brief on the day then it was jackets off and onto the sand to pretend it was a hot beach party haha.

We filmed lots of dancing shots, a huge Champagne popping scene where we got Champagne all over us and then the storyline of the clip. I had to run into the water with the male lead at the end which I was not looking forward to.. but the water was actually warmer than the wind!

Well even though by the end of the day I felt 'electrocuted' from shivering instead of 'electric' it was still a fun day, met some awesome people and hopefully got some great shots! There is heaps of behind the scenes footage for Project Sunday (projectsundaytv.com) so watch out for that to see more.

A HUGE shout out to all the extras in the beach scene, the wonderful make-up artists and stylists, Peter Duong the Photographer, the set manager and of course Kenny the producer.
