Whitehouse Runway

Wow! These clothes by Whitehouse were absolutely luxurious and I was so happy I got to wear them. All the outfits were unique but had a running theme of creams, navy, sequins and beautiful fabric. We did this show twice. One on Saturday and again on Sunday. Both were a lot of fun though on Sunday we had a little more time so we got more detailed hair and make-up done. On Saturday we had tight buns that looked kind of like a big bobble on the top of our heads and smokey eyes but the next day we had hair teased to the side and eyes that were really black and went out past our eyebrows and bright red lips. It looked awesome although again I caught the train home and got lots of strange looks.Anyway, the show had lots of people involved so we had to get tags that said model on it to get us into the event. Then we went straight into hair and make-up then to the dressers to get our outfits. We were supposed to have specific outfits but as usual it was so completely hectic backstage with semi naked people running around, clouds of hairspray to battle through, clothes flying everywhere, people swarming around the models trying to do up shows and pin up broken zips etc so we just walked out in whatever was there. This was good though because it meant that we got to wear different outfits for each day and with these beautiful clothes the more I get to try on the better! The actual runway was really cool too. The crowd was massive, especially on Sunday and the catwalk was all white and lit up. There were also two screens showing the parade so that when I was walking back from the end of the catwalk I could see myself from behind. So weird! Though I was a bit scared because some of the dresses were SO long that I felt like I was going to step on it and rip it or trip or pull it off and be standing there in my underwear! One dress I had to wear was pretty much a circus tent...but at least it was a beautiful silky circus tent. Luckily none of that happened and I actually had fun in the long dresses because I could play with them and swish them around and get some cool movement shots.Anyway see for yourself with the photos. I have millions!

Urban Project VIP Night

Well this was a really nice change from runway and photo shoots! I was booked as a model for a VIP night for Urban Project by Josua Andreas. I had to change outfits every half hour or so and walk around getting my photo taken, drinking free champagne and eating yummy free food. As the VIP night was in the store I could also look around at all the clothes.
Eating, drinking, shopping and modeling all at the same time? Awesome!
The other models and I had heaps of fun trying on all the outfits to wear! If we were cold we could simply pick a beautiful leather jacket off the racks and put it on over our outfit because everything we wore just had to be from the brand.
At the end of the night the designer gave us all a dress to take home which was so nice.
I love my job! Haha.

Lloyd Ross Shoot

This was a really cool shoot! Got to do some fun different looks and the photographer and make-up artist were both really laid back and great to work with. Must say I'm a fan of Lloyd's signature lighting techniques. My favourite look was probably the old school bikini one. Check out the photos for yourselves. And on set behind the scenes...

Fashion Writing

Yay! I decided to combine some of my interests and start fashion writing for a few different publications!
At the moment I'm working with www.stylemelbourne.com
Check out the site for some good updates from the fashion world, I think it's a really cute site.
It's a pretty cool deal working with them because I get sent to some great parties, events and runways plus have made some handy connections with photographers and designers. I also get to interview bands sometimes which is fun!
