High Fashion High Tea

Yay! Fashion week! Sooo much fun.
I wish I could show you a video of what it's like behind the scenes...but I can't because that would involve a lot of nudity haha.
Everything is crazy hectic! Clothes flying everywhere, people running around. It's pretty much organised chaos. Before hand all the outfits and shoes are set out and you have dressers assigned to help you with the quick changes, but when it comes down to it, the changes are REALLY fast so once you're off the catwalk people pretty much rip your clothes off, put new ones on, shove shoes on your feet then before you know it it's time to get out there again haha.
My favourite parade this fashion week was High Fashion High Tea. There were a lot of different designers involved and all the clothes and shoes were gorgeous.
When I got there, I realised my make-up artist was Lysha who did the make-up for two of my music videos, 'We're Ok' and 'Boom'! Small world!
My first outfit was Gwendoynne who made beautiful long cream beaded dresses with matching headpieces. There were so many hook and eye buttons up the back, it was lucky this outfit was first because they took a while to do up. The shoes were all beaded so they didn't really stay on my feet properly during the parade but lucky the dresses were long so hopefully noone noticed my shoe was fully sideways for most of the first parade...haha.
Next I wore a Cyan Reign outfit. This designer is amazing! I had these hot leather pants with zips all up the sides and a floaty top with a cute belt. We all wore lace eye masks too which looked awesome. The pants were hard to get one as they were so tight and you couldn't undo the zips but it was worth it! I love those pants!
Next up was Subfrusco. Another gorgeous outfit. I had high waisted shorts with a top that was split all down the sides. The designers were backstage and they helped me get the outfit looking perfect so that was cool. They were really nice.
Then there was Saint Augustine Academy and I wore a dress which I kept putting on backwards/upside down/wrong in every way but luckily we got it right for when I went on haha.
Oooh one of my favourites was Nicola Finetti! This dress was amazing! I loved how it came out at the bottom and was covered in what I think look kind of like mermaid scales! So pretty! Shoes for this outfit were Vivienne Westwood for Melissa.

Last but not least was IM lingerie. We wore these crazy feather headpieces which looked so good! If I had one I would totally wear it around the house... haha. But we had to be carefull walking through the curtains from backstage because if you hit them then they'd fall off as you were walking onto the catwalk! We also had these cute fluffy heels which were perfect. We did two parades in the same day so by the end of it we were worn out! But it was so much fun! Can't wait 'til the next fashion week!

Sleep Couture Runway

This runway was SO much fun! I usually like the clothes I get to wear but these pajamas were really gorgeous! They're so comfortable too. I love love love them.
I bought a pair as soon as I could haha. My favourite pieces are the long sleeved crop top hoodie and the teddy bear pants.Anyway, I arrived at hair and make-up and there was so much good food there...mmm. Hair and make-up was done by the cutest couple Cat and Kevin who own their own salon called Karsa hair salon. (www.karsahairsalon.com)
They are both very talented and we all had beautiful eye make-up with feathers attached to the lashes. Our hair took teasing to a whole new level...mine looked like a pile of fairyfloss on top my head. Was crazy! Not fun to try and untangle in the shower though...We did a full run through then had to hide at the back because the guests started to arrive. It was a slumber party themed night so there were lots of cool decorations and a giant bunny rabbit you could get photos with. We jumped into a photo with the bunny which was fun!We got an extra layer of hair spray, a bit more shimmer and were all covered in some shiny Vaseline then we were ready to go!
The show was a great success, the crowd genuinely seemed to love the clothes. I've never had so many people come up and ask me about the brand than with Pajama Couture, I really think it'll be a hit! This was actually the pre-launch runway so a little sneak preview. Here are some photos or check out http://sleepcouture.com for more!

Whitehouse Runway

Wow! These clothes by Whitehouse were absolutely luxurious and I was so happy I got to wear them. All the outfits were unique but had a running theme of creams, navy, sequins and beautiful fabric. We did this show twice. One on Saturday and again on Sunday. Both were a lot of fun though on Sunday we had a little more time so we got more detailed hair and make-up done. On Saturday we had tight buns that looked kind of like a big bobble on the top of our heads and smokey eyes but the next day we had hair teased to the side and eyes that were really black and went out past our eyebrows and bright red lips. It looked awesome although again I caught the train home and got lots of strange looks.Anyway, the show had lots of people involved so we had to get tags that said model on it to get us into the event. Then we went straight into hair and make-up then to the dressers to get our outfits. We were supposed to have specific outfits but as usual it was so completely hectic backstage with semi naked people running around, clouds of hairspray to battle through, clothes flying everywhere, people swarming around the models trying to do up shows and pin up broken zips etc so we just walked out in whatever was there. This was good though because it meant that we got to wear different outfits for each day and with these beautiful clothes the more I get to try on the better! The actual runway was really cool too. The crowd was massive, especially on Sunday and the catwalk was all white and lit up. There were also two screens showing the parade so that when I was walking back from the end of the catwalk I could see myself from behind. So weird! Though I was a bit scared because some of the dresses were SO long that I felt like I was going to step on it and rip it or trip or pull it off and be standing there in my underwear! One dress I had to wear was pretty much a circus tent...but at least it was a beautiful silky circus tent. Luckily none of that happened and I actually had fun in the long dresses because I could play with them and swish them around and get some cool movement shots.Anyway see for yourself with the photos. I have millions!
