Boom Music Video

BOOM! This one is my favourite song we've done so far and we planned a crazy music video for it!
We auditioned back up dancers, got bags and bags of glitter, made a (slightly wobbly) door frame, found a great location, organised a team of hair and make-up artists to do some crazy make-up looks, got young designers on board to style the clip, choreographed and rehearsed, bought a truck load of snacks and of course ordered a ridiculous blonde wig...
Nothing could go wrong with so much planning right...think again.

One of the dancers Chloe was in hospital the night before and only got out at 5am so we didn't know if she was coming until the last minute. Another dancer Mikhaela had been vomiting all day. The venue double booked us. All of the make-up artists canceled because we had to change the time to the night shift and so had to be rebooked. In a frantic rebooking frenzy we had too many make-up artists and had to get numbers down again. The venue double booked us again. I crashed my car and had to organise a lift to the venue...the list goes on!

Luckily everything fell into place, the dancers all rocked up and did a great job. The make-up artists were amazing. The venue worked it out so we could still shoot on the organised Sunday and everything went great. I actually had a dream the nigth before that only one make-up artist came and she was blind so at least that didn't happen! Haha.

We shot all of the scenes for the video at the same venue so it was a long shoot! I got there at 4pm and got home at 4am! It didn't feel like a long time though because I was having so much fun. We had stocked up on energy drinks, lollies and ordered pizza to the venue. The crew was great and so everyone had fun.

The first scene we shot was the blonde super star scene! For this one I had a blonde wig which was so fun to wear! Though I kept getting the hair stuck to my lip gloss and the whole wig actually fell off during a take because I flicked my head back. Haha!
The dress I wore was designed by Andrea Vuong and was absolutely GORGEOUS! I was so lucky to get to wear it.The next scene was the dancing scene. The leggings were from the label 'Die Pretty'. It was a bit tricky because all our tops kepy slipping down and no amount of Hollywood tape would keep them up. We had to synchronise our top adjusting so that it wouldn't ruin every take haha. In this scene we also threw around some glitter. It went in out faces, got in our mouths etc. but it was pretty funny.Next I did the door frame scene. I had these clip in blonde bits for my hair and two toned pink and purple lips which were supposed to represent being in a transition phase ready to break out. The blonde bits kept falling out though. The door frame was pretty wobbly too but I tried not to hold onto it too much or it might have fallen on my head. The bodysuit I wore was so cute! It was also designed by 'Die Pretty'.
Then was the rock star scene. The dancers got eye make-up masks which were fun and I had glittery lips. We got to play around a bit more in this scene. In one take the girls had sparklers which I had brought along for a cake I made for one of the make-up artists. (It was her birthday the next day and we went way past midnight!)
We added another scene in at the last minute which was me lying in the glitter that was all over the floor from the other scenes. It looked pretty cool but glitter is really hard to get off! So I was sparkling for a while after the shoot haha.

Well I hope the video will be awesome! We worked hard and had fun making it so hope you'll like it!

A massive thank-you to Kenny, the designers, make-up artists, dancers, Callum the lighting guy who we bossed around, the pizza guy and everyone else involved!
